Lambruschi Ottaviano

Lambruschi Ottaviano

Ottaviano Lambruschi company dates back to the mid-70s, when the founder himself, tired of working in the quarries of Carrara, bought two hectares of forest in Costa Marina, the municipality of Castelnuovo Magra, in the territory of the Colli di Luni. Here Ottaviano implanted a vineyard with the help of his brother and, having become a winemaker, began making wine by their own achieving amazing results in a short time.

By the time, the company has grown: new lands were bought and the winery modernized to house the new production techniques. Today, under the leadership of his son Fabio, the production has increased along with the fame, but the great love for growing and winemaking and the aspiration for high quality remained unchanged.

The production is based on the cultivation of two vineyards: the Maggiore, perched on vertiginous and spectacular slopes towards the sea, and the oldest Costa Marina, a beautiful vineyard, surrounded by the Mediterranean. The high hill climate gives the white wine unique and unrepeatable aromas, alternating salty notes. The expertise and experience of Lambruschi in cultivation are based on the reduction of yields per hectare and the preference for natural cures, such as green manure crops sown in summer.

The wine-making process complies with the traditional procedures and takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures; the result is a wine that is at the top quality of the appellation. The mark of Ottaviano Lambruschi has become a bulwark of the territory of Colli di Luni; the magnificent representation of a suggestive and spectacular terroir but, above all, of an unmissable wine.
