Raised in a family of farmers and herders who owned the charming farmhouse of Hoandlhof in the lower mountains of Bressanone, Nossing, friendly called Manni, in 1999 has stopped to confer his grapes to the local cooperative winery starting to make wine on his own. His 4 hectares of vineyard, recently planted at 600 meters above sea level in one of the best areas of the district, are located on a rich sandy soil of glacial origin. Walking through the rows of Nossing you can find some of the most important indigenous varieties of Alto Adige tradition: among these, one of the most important is precisely the Kerner, within the small vineyard of Pluner and Mitsch, facing South-East and cultivated with low yields per hectare. The Kerner, an aromatic white grape variety traditionally acclimatized in the German, Austrian and Swiss areas, but subjected to the DOC in Alto Adige since 1993, knows a late ripening and is highly resistant to low temperatures down to -10 ° C.
