Morellino di Scansano 'Ghiaccioforte' Castello Romitorio 2015

"Ghiaccioforte" is a really interesting Morellino, produced by the winery Castello Romitorio. The vineyards which produce this wonderful Morellino lie a few hundred meters away from the ancient ruins of the Etruscan called Ghiaccio Forte, so named for the Etruscan warrior who was able to resist the expansion of the Roman Empire. It is said that the young Ghiaccio Forte take his forces for battle with ritualistic preparations and abundant libations. In memory of the hero, this perfect Morellino wine is made from the traditional blend of Sangiovese and the spicy Syrah. A Morellino which fully confirms the good that is doing Castello Romitorio, a splendid reality located in Montalcino.
