Whisky Single Malt '105 Cask' Glenfarclas - 100cl

The Glenfarclas 105 Cask is a great whiskey, complex and smooth, bottled at cask strength (bottled at the gradation of the barrel). The distillery is located at the foot of Benrinnes and always uses a particular pure water that comes from melting snow and spring that flows between the granite rocks. It seems that this is precisely to make the particularly pure water and soft and therefore suitable for the production of a whiskey excellent. The company has been in the capable hands of the family still captained by John Grant, the fifth generation, while his son George work as Ambassador of Glenfarclas. The features that distinguish the production, in addition to special care in each phase, are the choice of barley, mainly Scottish and often local, in the double distillation direct fire, an ancient method still used by a few distilleries, and a careful choice of barrels for aging. The production is aged in the famous "sherry casks" oak Spanish who initially aged sherry and American oak barrels. The Glenfarclas 105 Cask has a bronze color with golden highlights and a strong odor, tending to butter and grape. The aroma is complex and the wood is the first to hit, right after are the notes of apples and pears with the sweetness of caramel dark to surprise the nose. The palate is dry and quickly develops the spicy notes combined with a hint of oak and fruit. The finish is incredibly smooth and round with a lingering smokiness. The distillery suggests adding a bit 'of water to fully explore its great depth.
